Hypoadrenocorticism in a 6-year-old dog |
A castrated female Labrador retriever, aged 6, was treated for chronic renal failure. Hypoadrenocorticism was suspected because of a lack of progress in the treatment. An ACTH stimulation test was performed confirming the diagnosis. Mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoid supplementation was undertaken. After one week of treatment the dogs clinical status improved significantly. |
