Some new data concerning virology and immunology |
Thirty-thousand-year-old DNA virus with a pandoravirus morphology isolated from Siberian permafrost. Possible link of swine flu vaccination with narcolepsy. Novel synthetic broad-spectrum nucleoside analogue BCX4430 protects against filovirus disease in cynomolgus macaques. It also exhibited in vitro antiviral activity against negative-sense and positive-sense RNA viruses. Maternal retinoids control the offspring immunity. The mother is responsible for both the absorbion of vitamin A from food and its conversion to retinoic acid. Novel and life-threatening immunodeficiency characterized by impaired capacity of activated T and B cells to proliferate in response to antigen receptor-mediated activation. Key and specific role of CTPS1 to sustain the proliferation of activated lymphocytes. 2013 year marks a turning point in cancer immunoterapy. |
