| Metabolic conditions of displacement of abomasum in cows |
| The article presents significant associations between metabolic disturbances and left displacement of abomasum after calving in cows. The paper describes essential and most recent aspects of multifactorial etiology, pathogenesis, clinical and laboratory diagnosis as well as directions of therapy and prophylaxis for these connected health problems. Also it shows a new systemic approach to prevention against metabolic health problems in cows on dairy farms in some countries of EU. The paper gives an useful for veterinary practice metabolic profile performed on dairy farms in UK as an example for prophylaxis of the abomasal displacements. The article contains a review of literature connected with this topic and published mainly in the last years. |
