| Endocrine determinants of antler growth |
| The process of cyclical antler development is regulated by a number of interacting hormonal factors. Despite differences in this process between various species of the Cervidae family, research conducted to date makes it possible to formulate numerous conclusions. Therefore, antlers have great potential to serve as a model for studying bone regeneration and regulation of growth via multiple hormonal processes, as well as in other areas of biomedical research. It is, however, necessary to continue research on this phenomenal object, which are antlers, and the possibilities of their practical application. |
